OLED display technology: Sony brings out first model in 2007

Amazing stuff coming our way in the next few years with Sony leading the way to the consumers on the OLED (Organic LED) display front. This thing measures 3mm thickness and a 1 million to 1 contrast ratio (!), wow! Simply stunning. The first model to be released will be an 11 inch, 1024 x 600pixel model. For sure these displays will rapidly increase in size, longevity and price, so that LCDs and Plasmas will be a think of the past within 3 years or so.  One large plus is the very large viewing angle, other than it just looks fantastic. Star Trek here we come!
