Sony Ericsson Mobile connected to Mac OS X via USB Cable: How to mount your SE phone AND your memory card on Mac OS X as drivesAfter buying a USB cable hoping to use the 1GB memory in my mobile phone as a mass storage device and hoping to be able to do quick uploads to my Z550i, I was extremely disappointed to find out that the cable I had bought would not mount my Sony Ericsson mobile phone in Mac OS X 10.4.8…. The Silicon Labs driver was the one that solved the problem for me, but you might get lucky with the Prolific driver depending on the chipset:- Prolific: USB controller download page (All Windows, Mac 8/9/X(UB), Linux)- Silicon Labs: USB controller download page (All Windows, Mac 9/X and Linux)If you ever find these links are down or broken, or the downloads gone, email me or post a comment, thanks.Another thing I just found out is that I can use the Image Capture application to access the files and even share the phone!
